VISTA IQ: 20 Dogs in your waiting room have lumps and bumps. How do you spot the 3 with cancer?

HT Vet VISTA IQ Scan Prozess

VISTA IQ is HT VET's latest device for detecting cancer in skin lumps and bumps in dogs.

Join Dr. Natalie Marks on March 19 to see new non-invasive technology that is making early cancer detection for dermal and subcutaneous masses in a fast and easy way.

Data show that among 20 dogs with lumps, three will have a malignancy. Historically, options for evaluating lumps and bumps have included surgical biopsy, fine-needle aspiration (FNA), and palpation alone (otherwise known as “wait and see”). The reality in veterinary practice is that 3 in 5 lumps go undiagnosed. Sometimes, because the lump doesn’t seem suspicious upon palpation, other times, pet owners decline FNA because of the expense or the perception that it can wait.

Dr. Marks reveals a new point-of-care alternative to the “wait and see” approach that enables general practitioners to screen lumps and bumps before needles, and that is cost-effective for pet owners: Heat Diffusing Imaging (HDI).

HDI works alongside existing diagnostics, such as FNA, to guide next-stage clinical decision-making by providing risk-factor or diagnostic alerts for scanned masses. A 40-second scan with the VISTA iQ device, which leverages HDI technology, makes it easy to detect malignancy and provide treatment earlier.

During the webinar, you'll discover:

  • The prevalance of dermal and subcutaneous cancer in canine patients
  • Data about lump and bump diagnosis in veterinary medicine
  • HDI scans that simplify clinical decision-making with objective data
  • How HDI is easing client communications and improving diagnostic and treatment compliance
  • Sensitivity, NPV, specificity, and PPV values for HDI
  • Evidence supporting HDI for malignancy detection
  • Real-world case studies
  • How the VISTA iQ works in daily practice
