Acupuncture
The MR5 ACTIVet PRO is equipped with a threaded opening for use with different probes for laser puncture. The choice of probe depends on the area to be treated and the general condition of the patient. The laser puncture can be used as a tonic (stimulating) or sedative (inhibiting).
Using light as medicine
Based on scientific studies, the lasers can optimize biological processes and thus achieve certain photochemical effects, such as the increased production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as cell fuel for the formation of new healthy cells or photophysical effects, such as the photodissociation of nitric oxide, a natural vasodilator.
The phototherapeutic devices deliver a proven synergistic combination of wavelengths to achieve the optimal effect on the desired tissue with high penetration depth and an ideal frequency.
Multi Radiance Lasers have no known side effects and there are very few contraindications. Many diseases can be treated before they become chronic, such as arthrosis or periodontal disease. What are the advantages of (True) Super Pulsing?
(True) Super pulsing enables high peak power with high photon density and deeper penetration into the skin than a laser of the same wavelength that is not super pulsed but has the same average output power. This is because the extremely short pulses allow for faster cumulative absorption. This avoids potentially dangerous thermal overload of the skin, as with conventional class 4 lasers. In addition, the time between the 20-200ns pulses improves pain management and does not cause tissue irritation due to excessive heating. Some laser manufacturers advertise that their devices are pulsed, i.e. the laser is on half the time and off half the time. According to physicist Lars Hode, The Importance of the Coherency. Photomedicine and Laser Surgery. Jahrgang 23, Nummer 4, 2005, p. 431- 434, but show no recognizable effects in application. True superpulsing requires the use of a semiconductor, for example gallium arsenide, to control the pulses, such as that used in the technology of Multi Radiance.

Super Pulsed in practice
- More power = more photonic energy. The advanced semiconductor laser diode delivers higher power pulses without heating the tissue.
- Deeper penetration depth = more energy through the skin to reach target tissue. Even deep-seated damaged cells are reached with maximum photon density without any potentially hazardous heat side effects. A true super pulsed laser with the gallium arsenide semiconductor and its high peak power delivers the optimal energy density to treat muscles, ligaments, tendons and even bone fractures.

The only class 1 lasers with blue light against microbes
When using the laser in areas with damaged skin or during surgery, blue light (not UV light!) can be used to fight infection, either alone or in combination with other wavelenghts. It kills by oxidative stress bacteria, such as MRSA. Independent studies show that blue light is even effective against drug resistant bacteria and SARS-CoV-2.

Assessment of wound area reduction on chronic wounds in dogs with photobiomodulation therapy: A randomized controlled clinical trial.

Conclusion: Based on the results of the current study, using either 830 nm PBMT or simultaneous SPMW-PBMT can accelerate the chronic wound healing process in dogs with a significant reduction in wound area. Therefore, it can be used as an adjunctive therapy to improve wound healing in dogs with reduced treatment duration.

In vitro bactericidal activity of blue light (465 nm) phototherapy on meticillin-susceptible and methicillin resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius.

Conclusions – Blue light phototherapy significantly reduced CC of MRSA, but not of MSSP or MRSP. The mechanism for the relative photosensitivity of the MRSA isolate is unknown, but is hypothesized to be due to an increased concentration of porphyrin in S. aureus relative to S. pseudintermedius , which would modulate blue light absorption.
